Images for the Second Week of July

I've recently encountered ornament cactus flowers, and I think that are what they called! Yes, I have seen these cactus flowers before, but I haven' t taken any pictures of them. These flowers are absolutely stunning in their colors of pink and yellow.

The see-through plastic wrapped around each plant, and they all sat on the shelf in a very careless manner. They crashed and leaned on each other!

My son has always wanted to buy these flowers, but we have no direct sun light coming into the house, and I do not want to deprive them what needed most. Anyway, I told him I would take some pictures for him to look at whenever he wants too.

Pretty Pink Flower

This flower is not quite fully opened. Though it sits on the second shelf, and barely receives any attention, or lighting, this flower is just beautiful. I have to work my hand around those poky spikes to take shots.

All Open

The plastic around these flowers gives them such a hazy look! Each level of petals is still spectacular, and I like the shiny look in the middle. I didn't think that these flowers would turn out since the lighting was really low on the second shelf.

Twin Pink Flowers

I spot these two flowers in a pot, and they look as if they've bloomed as the same time also. I love this color of soft pink. Now that I am looking at them, I wonder how these petals would feel if I touch them. For some reasons I just don't touch my subject at all.

A Touch of Red

This flower has a deeper pink, almost red color, or maybe it is red! I like how this flower grows to a side, and the curvy petals fold toward that side.

Twin Red Flowers

These two red flowers are like dancing. The one on the right has a lighter shade of red, and their body has one huge trunk with those white dots that look like pearls.

Yellow Flower

Here comes the yellow cactus flower! It has a dash of orange in it, and the flower has the same shape of petals. Maybe I should have bought the flowers home to take the pictures, but then where would be the challenge?

Twin Yellow Flowers

Beautiful flowers, are they not? It's amazing how I've overlooked these flowers before. I knew they are beautiful, but taking pictures of them had never entered my mind. However, as I grow, I also learn.

A Touch of Orange

The orange look in this flower is so beautiful. Since I begin taking pictures, I found that so many things are just amazing through the eye of the camera. Ordinary things can become extraordinary! Nothing looks bad, unless the picture is too blurry to save.

Have a good week ahead, everyone!

They are all so beautiful, some of the petals look like feathers. The colors are just so happy looking.

I would have had to rescue one or two from the shelf.

yes, they are all so beautiful, can't get my eyes off those pink flowers, especially the twin one. but they are all really lovely, your talent made the ordinary become extraordinary.

PS....I tried bringing my cam to a nearby nursery here too like what you mentioned before, but since there were a lot of other people, I got too shy to take pictures. I still have to develop your courage.

Very bueatiful photos. Cacti sometimes have the most gorgeous flowers but they usually only last for a day ... at least the ones that I have.
