Dreaming of Home
Around our Metro Detroit area, many houses have been abandoned and the values of homes are drastically decreased. We are all stuck at where we are since our homes are now worth less than we owe.
A friend of mine has just visited her childhood home in Boston, and she expressed the wish to move back there some time to be near her family. Part of making the dream a reality, she even get in touch with a company called Bushari Group Real Estate.
Image Courtesy of bushari.com/My friend would like to move in to one of Boston Condos since it would make it easier for a single mom to maintain. She said while there, her parents took her to see one of Boston Luxury Lofts on display, and her heart sank at the price tag. We laughed, knowing this is just girls talk, wishes and dreams.
Our houses here are in a deep slump, and we have to wait until the economy gets better. When our real estate becomes stable, we can then imply plans. Though I haven't been to Boston, I know it must be a special place since my friend is so longing to go back. Being a single mom is hard, and without family support around is even much harder. After all, home is where the heart is!
I hope your friend's dream does come true and she gets the chance to move back to her hometown. It really is a shame though that so many people are losing their homes because of how bad the economy is. I really hope things get better soon.
ReplyDeleteIcy, I have a co-worker who is trying to become a first time home owner and they are making her jump through hoops to get there. It does not make sense. We are stuck in our homes because the value has gone down, and yet the prices are ridiculous on some of the ones for sale. The money must be going to the banks, not the owners.

ReplyDeleteWe bought this house about four years ago and so far it has held it's value, knock on wood. Hopefully the economy will pick up soon and your friend can get her wish.
