Blue Buds of Hydrangea
Hydrangea is one of my favorite flowers because of their complicated structure! As much as I love the flowers, I also love the budding stage. They are like beads arranging in an orderly fashion.
The buds are blue in these pictures, but when they are flowers, the flowers are light purple with a touch of blue on the petals. They are just gorgeous.
My hydrangea is pink and it is not as healthy as this one that I saw in the supermarket. I'm hoping by next year it will grow a bit more and giving me more flowers to enjoy.
Have a great week, everyone!

That is beautiful. I think that is the lace cap hydrangea isn't it. You have truly captured it's beauty. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI love the pictures you shared of the hydrangea in different stages. I love them as well, but have no luck with them. Yours is such a pretty color.
ReplyDeleteI love hydrangeas too. All the colours are beautiful. I am not sure which one would be my favourite.
ReplyDeleteThey do look like little beads don't they? Mine have not started to bud yet, hopefully soon. I really like all the different shades of color on your last macro.
ReplyDeleteOne Hydrangea blossom makes a whole bouquet! I like the bud photo, too.
ReplyDeleteThe hydrangea is such a beautiful flower and it runs such a gamut of colors. In my neighborhood, I've seen several shades from lighter blue to lavender to deeper purple to different ranges of magentas. I love the huge blossoms!
