My Pink Zinnia

I planted three pots full of different zinnia flowers this year, but only three plants came up: one deep pink, one peachy, and one light pink color. This is my deep pink zinnia, and it has multiple layers, which I love to see.

The heat and rain this year have also affected the growing stage of this zinnia. It didn't seem to last that long, and the petals were fried quickly. I like them, nevertheless!

Zinnias are one of the easiest flowers to grow from seeds, and I have successfully planted three pots full last year. I also noticed that the flowers last for more than a month if not cut.

  9. Icy, love your zinnia. They are such a pretty flower and yours are a vibrant pink. Our weather has been strange, hasn't it? I noticed a lot of the flowers in the parks around here have brown edged petals.

  14. These are beautiful and the color is beautiful too. It's been so hot and dry here in NJ that there aren't too many beautiful flowers like this here.

  17. I love Zinnias because they are such hardy and long-lasting flowers (both in the garden and in the vase). However, they won't grow in my cool mountain climate, though they are OK in Denver.
