My Pink Zinnia

I planted three pots full of different zinnia flowers this year, but only three plants came up: one deep pink, one peachy, and one light pink color. This is my deep pink zinnia, and it has multiple layers, which I love to see.

The heat and rain this year have also affected the growing stage of this zinnia. It didn't seem to last that long, and the petals were fried quickly. I like them, nevertheless!

Zinnias are one of the easiest flowers to grow from seeds, and I have successfully planted three pots full last year. I also noticed that the flowers last for more than a month if not cut.

I love how we celebrate the imperfections-- just like us -- beautiful dispite our hic ups!

Thanks so much for joining with us at FFB :)

  8. Beautiful blooms Icy, even the fading flowers are still very pretty in their own way. I really like that shade of pink.

  9. Icy, love your zinnia. They are such a pretty flower and yours are a vibrant pink. Our weather has been strange, hasn't it? I noticed a lot of the flowers in the parks around here have brown edged petals.

  10. I guess I missed the memo telling that pink was the color this week : ) Very pretty. They look very similar to dahlias.

  11. So glad you have shared the crispy petals with us. I like to watch the life cycle of the flowers!

  12. is in for this week, I guess..

Thank you all for stopping by!

  13. Its not warm enough for those lovely zinnias to flower well for me - thanks for showing its beauty and its faults - good to know these things.

  14. These are beautiful and the color is beautiful too. It's been so hot and dry here in NJ that there aren't too many beautiful flowers like this here.

  16. That is what I like most about zinnias, the layers. They are beautiful.

  17. I love Zinnias because they are such hardy and long-lasting flowers (both in the garden and in the vase). However, they won't grow in my cool mountain climate, though they are OK in Denver.

  18. i wish to have a little garden too
