Chasing Butterfly

I don't know if this is a moth or a butterfly. Some say it is a moth, but I think it is just as beautiful as a butterfly when it opened its wing to show the designs!

There were so many of these brown butterflies on that day, and they were attracted to this blue swimming pool. I couldn't decide which one to take picture, so I snapped one, and then went to the next.

I think it was mating time for these butterflies because after a little rest, they took their business up in the air, several repeated moments, and finally came down for another rest.

These beautiful brown butterflies are no longer in my yard since the weather is cooler now. Our summer is coming to a close, which I am not ready, but there is nothing I can do about it.

  2. Beautiful captures Icy, don't you just love the face on these little guys.

Your little friend is a Skipper, they have characteristics of both the butterfly and moth. Notice the way he holds his wings at rest, that is one way to spot a Skipper.
