Fresh Logans in Blue Dish

I picked up this beautiful blue bowl at a thrift store, and some fresh longans at the fruit market! Fresh longans are the best. They are juicy and sweet.

Longans are only available for a short while. All you have to do is peel off the thin skin, and eat the flesh around a big seed inside.

I should have peeled off some to show you, but they were quickly eaten right after I snapped these pictures. Maybe next time!

  2. Manila Market is in my neighborhood and I always enjoy the tropical fruits like longans and lychees. I just wish they imported mangosteens, my favorite of all fruits, which I had in Thailand. I've never had anything so wonderful! I even did a blog about it once.

I ordered some from an importer in L.A. at an outrageous price for six of them. They arrived mushy, overripe and not good. He would not refund my money.
