Gorgeous Blue Bird
I believe this is a blue parakeet, which is Poetic Shutterbug's favorite! Every month or so we have to visit our local pet store to get supplies for JoJo's bunny, such as food and cat litter, and we always stopped to talk to the birds that they have.
The pet shop carried different colors of parakeet in yellow, green, and mixed green with yellow, but this blue parakeet looks absolutely peaceful, and graceful to me.
Sure, my son wanted to take this bird home, but we agreed just to enjoy watching this gorgeous blue parakeet while we were in the store.

ReplyDeleteMy mother had a succession of several parakeets while I was a child. All were named "Lucky" but some succumbed to unlucky circumstances.

ReplyDeleteWe call them budgies here. I love them. I used to have a white and blue parakeet about 15 years ago. He was a cutie.

These are pretty birds and I enjoy watching them. I would not want one as they make too much noise for me.

That is a beautiful parakeet, and I understand exactly why your son would want to take him home! We had a green one years ago, and we had a blue one when my sister and I were young.

This is a great shot of the parakeet. What a beautiful bird! I had parakeets before, but they didn't look like this one.
