Pink and White Gerbera Daisies

Making a trip to the grocery store can be rewarding sometimes.  Though many stores around my neck of the woods didn't like people taking pictures; some don't mind at all since it's harmless in every way!

We're only in early winter, but it seemed so long already since the last time I saw colors, flowers, or anything green. This flower really jumped out at me, and just cleared my cluttering mind.

I think the pink and white tones on these gerbera daisies were just fantastic and catchy to my eyes. I also realize that seeing a beautiful flower like this renewing my spirit so much more than words could describe.

  8. My hands reached out for some gerberas today in the store but then I was distracted by some colourful tulips. They won out. Love the pale pink with that beautiful green.

  19. Happy Pink Saturday Sweetie...
Your pink gerbera daisies are my favorite. I always have them in my spring and summer gardens. They are so happy out here in Phoenix. They actually survive in this heat. I have ones that come back from previous years.

Thank you for sharing and I love this photo shots that you got. Gorgeous. Hope you have a beautiful Saturday sweet friend. Many hugs and much love, Sherry

  20. Gerber Daisies happen to be one of my favorite flowers.. They are beautiful no matter what color they come in and they last for such a long time.. If you've ever planted them in your window boxes, and find that they aren't sending up a lot of new blooms, here's a tip I learned many years ago.. I tell all my customers at the nursery this and many have come back and said, "You're right!"... Gerbera daisies love to be planted in TIGHT spots, as that's how they push up new buds.. If you're planting them in window boxes, plant them in the box in the container that they came in and all... There's my Gerbera tip of the day!

  26. Lovely. Today as I was heading out to worship service I spotted something yellow in the front garden. I didn't know what it was. I figured it was far too early to be a flower, so I thought maybe it was a piece of plastic.
When I got home, I had a look up close and was surprised to see my first daffodil of the year!

  28. Beautiful shots, Icy. I especially love the macro of the daisy's center.

One day, Jo and I went to Sloat Garden Center and spent at least an hour photographing flowers. No one said anything though I'm not sure they were overjoyed. They have the most amazing orchid collection there.

  30. I LOVE Gerbera daisies, and when the potted plants come out in the spring, I am so tempted. But I don't have windows for them and it's WAY too early to put them out! Every summer, I have to have one pot of them, though. Great shots!
