Just a Touch of Maroon on Carnation
Carnation is one of those cut flowers that last much longer than others. It can live way pass all other that came in the same bouquet and the variety of carnation is also amazing to see.
This carnation has speckles and maroon color around the edges of petals. They are pretty but my photos didn't turn out that great because of the motion in my hands.
I want to focus on the ruffle edges and what I want is not what I get. Tripod! I think I have to use tripod next time.

Yes it's best to use a tripod (although I hate to do it myself). The photos are still lovely and I think carnations are very pretty flowers with a wonderful scent.
ReplyDeleteI really love the ruffles in the second photo. I don't like using my tripod - too much trouble, and I don't want to drag it along. Happy Mothers Day to you.
ReplyDeleteMy latest dining room bouquet had pink gerber daisies in it. They lasted better than I had hoped. Even though I tosses three of them today, another 4 are still going strong. Love fresh flowers.

What gorgeous colors Icy, especially with that hint of yellow. Beautiful shots.
ReplyDeleteCarnations are such amazing flowers as your photos prove Icy. I am always amazed at all the colors. I haven't seen this combination before, it's gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful carnation here. I grow them from seed in the garden, very hardy and dependable.
ReplyDeleteLove the colour, tripod are very useful to keep the subject in focus. But sometimes I like the soft effect out of focus makes and your pictures are great. Take care.
