Maroon Pansies

Sunshine is delicious, rain is refreshing, wind braces us up, snow is exhilarating; there is really no such thing as bad weather, only different kinds of good weather.  ~John Ruskin

To be interested in the changing seasons is a happier state of mind than to be hopelessly in love with spring.  ~George Santayana

There is no season such delight can bring
As summer, autumn, winter and the spring.

Pink and White Dogwood Flowers

I saw these dogwood flowers on display in a parking lot of local nursery. They looked ill to me as the petals seemed to be in a deformed stage, even though they were still beautiful to see.

It is true then that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.

I'm not perfect; therefore, I have no right in expecting anything or anyone to be perfect.

Dogwood flowers were my new discovery love last year! They are absolutely gorgeous flowers for spring celebration.

Chocolate Eggs

It is almost Easter, so as the job of a bunny parent, I have to collect some sweets for the basket and eggs. Along the way, the bunny had to taste some of these delicious chocolate candy egg; covered in blue shiny wrappers.

Early bunny gets the egg! Take one and pass it around! For me, I have to get outside and work off the added padding on the behind for sitting too much. Isn't it a sweet Monday?

Pink and Yellow Tulips

These tulips were not mine, but they were for sale at the store. I've admired these bi-colors tulips for quite a while now, and have planted some bulbs for next year blooms!

Spring is such a great time to see the many different unique colors of flowers, and tulips are among the new trend of bi-colors.

So far, this mix of colors is my favorite! I'll be visiting different nurseries to find other mixes of colors when time permits.

The Wood Squill Has Blossom

The weather this year has been on a strange side, but these wood squill flowers didn't care at all even when the temperature was still in the 20s.

They are the first flowers bloomed this year, thus the first color I've seen this spring so far. The wood squill though is much shorter than last year, which you can find a bit of information here.

Since they are very low in the grass, your truly with sound mind and weary body, crawling on the ground for pictures, with the neighbor's cats watching in amusement!

Be Prepared For the Unexpected

An acquaintance told me on Thursday evening at soccer practice that her brother-in-law passed away suddenly in his sleep. He was barely 60 years old and in good shape physically. A few days prior to his death, he joked about buying seniors life insurance when he would come of age.

No one in the family expected this so soon, and after a thorough autopsy they found out he had a heart attack during the night. He had no funeral insurance in place, and he was not a veteran to receive veteran support services.

His immediate family and my friend's family are pulling together to cover the expenses to help out his wife, since they're both unemployed after Ford"s laid off last year.  Life can throw such a hard ball some times, so I'm thinking of my final day expenses, and looking into this option.

From Growing to Maturity

My last week post, Growing, showed the beginning stage of this intriguing flower. I looked for the caring instruction tag, but it was not there. Thus, I don't know what it is.

It opened up to this, and had these amazing colors. I saw it in Meijer, and just took a few photos since it is such an exotic looking flower.

If someone knows, please share some information on this plant!

For veterans as well as military people who are on active duty, you can now get help to lower your monthly payment with a VA streamline. It is at record low rate! If you are currently paying more than 5% on interest rate, you can apply for a loan at 1%.

What you need to do is requesting for a DD214 form, and you can do this by download it from this website, or through the mail, or by fax. This site offers other important information, such as how to buy a new home with no down payment, or check your income guideline before applying for a home loan.

Off my tangent, Beneath Los Angeles is an interesting website, and is about to launch their new book. It is an amusing site to check out!

Blue BB's

I found this jar of blue "bb's" in my son's bag after the visit with his dad, and took some pictures! Yes, my mind is always thinking about blogging.

It is amazing that they have so many different colors for "bb's" nowadays. I don't particularly like any kind of weapons but I also don't make a big deal out of it.

What are your opinions on soft-air bb gun?
